Nature at its best
Nature at its best
The luscious landscape and fertile soil of Endulini Fruit has given life to our orchards since 1953.
The family business is steeped in a proud history and has grown over the decades into a formidable and thriving company that has spanned three generations of the Ferreira family. At Endulini Fruit we pride ourselves on our successful partnerships with key international stakeholders, our acquisition of farms, our development of new generation orchards, and our cutting edge application of best practice technology.
Specialising in production, packing and exporting, we are committed to bringing our customers, who have always remained at the heart of our business, the finest and best quality citrus fruit. We are just as passionate about growing and caring for our people and our partners, as we are about growing and caring for our produce.
NATURAL GOODNESS, JUST AS NATURE INTENDED.
Our journey began in 1953 with a purpose to build a fresh produce business with integrity. Endulini Fruit’s CEO, Pietie Ferreira, is a third generation farmer heading one of the biggest farming units in the Gamtoos Valley.
The Ferreira’s started Citrus Farming in 1953 with land Espie inherited from his father. Around 1990, Pietie joined his father and later his younger brother, Eppie, also joined them in business. In 1994, when the industry was deregulated, they decided to leave the co-operative and opted to pack and export themselves.
From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a major grower, packer and exporter of South African citrus.
Endulini Fruit’s history of growth and innovation has developed the company into what it is today. Our business is based on the strong values and long-term partnerships that we have with all our stakeholders: our employees, our shareholders, our grower partners, our communities and our customers.
Working towards a sustainable future
We are an internationally recognised and trusted supplier of citrus, with our principal business being the production, packaging and exporting of citrus fruits.
We are comprised of a number of entities and joint ventures that successfully contribute to agricultural development in South Africa. Our participation in activities from the start of the value chain (farming and packing) all the way to the final step (export), allow for control and reliability of the internal processes.
Our active involvement in each point in the supply chain, means we have developed and specialised in input aggregation, packhouses, cold storage and export, and have continued to grow from strength to strength.
Our mission is to produce, pack and distribute quality citrus fruit in an integrated and sustainable manner to the satisfaction of our clients and stakeholders.
Our company is built on strong family values and we believe in supporting and giving back to our community. Over the years we can proudly say that we have grown a sustainable and profitable company based on sound business principles and good values.
There has been a conscious drive to empower employees at all levels of the organisation through training, leadership development, management and participation. Thus, creating a dynamic atmosphere in which innovation and creativity are cultivated. We currently have roughly 2000 people working for us during our picking and packing season, thus allowing for a smooth operational plan year on year.
